What is a Manual Cultivation?
Manual Cultivation is a feature in the Shrooly app that lets you make your own custom cultivation program to fit it the best for your mushroom's needs.
We recommend starting a Manual Cultivation only for AnyMush Pods and for advanced users.
How to start a Manual Cultivation?
Step 1
If you haven't already, download and sign in to the Shrooly app.
Step 2
You'll need to connect to your Shrooly via Bluetooth. Here's a guide that helps you do so:

Tap the "Start a cultivation" button on the app's homepage
Step 4
Select the "Manual Cultivation" option
How do I set a Manual Cultivation program?
Since these settings are all equally important for optimal mushroom growth, they can't override each other.
When you open the Manual Cultivation tab, you'll be taken to a page where you can customize the cultivation program's variables, such as:
✏️ The name of the cultivation: You can set the name of the Manual Cultivation program however you like, since this doesn't influence the cultivation process itself.
🌅 Sunrise time: Determines when the Shrooly's LED should be turned on. In our Generic Program, this value is set to 8 AM.
☀️ Photoperiod: Controls how long the Shrooly's LED should be turned on. In our Generic Program, this value is set to 10 hours.
💡 White LED brightness: Modifies the white LED's brightess. In this phase of development, only the white LED's brightness is changable. For our Generic Program, this value is set to 25%.
⏱️ Fan cycle period: Adjusts how often the air exchange fan should turn on. In our Generic Program, this value is set to 75 seconds.
🔛 ON time: Determines how long the air exchange fan should run during each period. In our Generic Program, this value is set to 15 seconds.
⚡Fan speed: Controls the strength of the air exchange fan during each period. In our Generic Program, this value is set to 100%.
💧 Relative humidity target: Specifies the humidity percentage inside your Shrooly. When the humidity drops below this value, the humidity fan will turn on until it reaches the set percentage. In our Generic Program, this value is set to 90%.
🎖️ Category: Indicates whether your Manual Cultivation program is for culinary or medical mushrooms. It does not directly influence the cultivation process itself.
