Use the Self-Test mode to troubleshoot issues

Updated over 5 months ago

Please note that at the end of the Self-Test, the device will reset itself, which results in the loss of cultivation data.

What is the Self-Test?

Your Shrooly is capable of doing a Self-Test, a prewritten program that checks all of the device's functions.

How to initiate the Self-Test function?

Step 1

Press and hold the Support button (far right, or 4th button) for about 5 seconds to enter the Self-Test mode.

Step 2

Press the far right, or 4th button again to initiate Self-Test mode

Step 3

Follow the instructions written on your Shrooly's screen

What will the Self-Test Do?

Your Self-Test procedure will guide you through your Shrooly's functions, such as:

  • The buttons

    • Pressing the buttons should result in the assigned button's icon changing from "0" to "1" on your Shrooly's screen.

  • The RGB LED light system

    • Pressing the buttons should result in the change of color of your Shrooly's lighting (red, green, and blue)

  • The white LED brightness

    • Pressing the button should result in a change in your Shrooly's lighting brightness (25%, 50%, and 100% brightness)

  • The air exchange fan

    • Pressing the button should result in a change in your Shrooly's air exchange fan rotation speed

      • 30% — 670-862 RPM

      • 50% — 1030-1265 RPM

      • 100% — 1633-1997 RPM

Please note that the air exchange fan can take up to 60 seconds to reach the desired RPM.

  • The humidifier fan

    • Pressing the button should result in a change in your Shrooly's humidifier fan's operation (On, or Off)

  • Sensor tests

    • Environment tests — temperature and humidity measurements should appear

    • Water level — Shrooly should be able to detect overflow, and display 110% when the tank is filled

    • WiFi tests — nearby Wi-Fi networks should appear

  • Self-Test Complete!

    • Your device will reset itself, which results in the loss of any active cultivation data
