Disinfecting the humidifier wick
Disinfecting the humidifier wick

Uphold a healthy growing environment by disinfecting the wick regularly

Updated over a week ago

If the wick has been used once, you can disinfect the wick using Patosolv or Isopropanol, it can be still used for another cultivation cycle.

If the wick has been used twice, replace it with a new one instead of disinfecting.

Step 1 β€” Wick removal

Remove the wick from under the humidifier lid.

Step 2 β€” Rinsing with water

Rinse the wick under running tap water, then gently squeeze the water out of it.

Step 3 β€” Disinfection

Disinfect all surfaces of the wick with a disinfection material from a spray bottle.

Use Patosolv or Isopropanol for the best results.

Step 4 β€” Placing the wick back

Place the wick back into its original place. Make sure to always change the water at every disinfection cycle.
