Improvements powered by your input
Delivery
We received several reports about issues with our courier parnter and took action to improve this. We’ve switched to a more reliable delivery partner across most EU locations.
We decided to add ice packs next to the Pods to ensure they can handle extreme summer temperatures.
Packaging of Pods
Your suggestions have helped us finalize the information labels on our Pods. We’ve highlighted the cutout shapes in the design and added QR codes for specific Pod preparation instructions. Here’s a sneak peek of what you can expect in your future orders.
We will also add several warning stickers to the packaging to remind you to keep the Pods refrigerated.
Substrate improvements
During the Early Access Program, we tested two different substrates, and one negatively impacted mushroom growth for all kinds, but especially for Yellow Oysters, Pioppino, and Lions Mane Pods. Based on your feedback and our internal tests, we’ve changed the substrate’s composition to enhance quality for future Pods.
Cultivation program improvements
Some of you noticed overly elongated stems in Pink Oyster and Yellow Oyster mushrooms. We’ve fine-tuned the cultivation programs to achieve a better CO2 balance.
Shrooly S1 improvements
For iOS users, we increased the number of crash-free sessions from 94% to 99%, and for Android users, from 77% to 87%.
Thanks to your reports, we found and fixed a bug that resulted in a more stable WiFi connection.
We also addressed reports of low humidity levels with a new firmware fix.
We fixed a QR code validation bug, which prevented cultivation starts for some Android users.
Educational Content
We have published over 50 articles in our Help Center to answer your most pressing questions. These articles cover Pod preparation steps and mushroom-specific guides to help you decide when to harvest.
What’s Still Ahead?
Based on your feedback from the previous survey, here are the improvements we're focusing on:
Low noise mode: Even though it’s on our radar, we won’t be able to provide such an option until the official launch. First, we must work on a few improvements to our testing facility, then we need to conduct multiple long-term experiments with several cultivation program variations to decide if we can lower the fan speed and noise or not.
Reliable water level readings: This known issue is actively being worked on, and we aim to release a new version by the official launch.
Remote Access (WiFi) and Bluetooth connection: We’ve released a fix that increased stability, but there are still 10-15 usability issues related to Bluetooth or WiFi connections. We’re in the planning stage and exploring options for improvements.
Light settings: We’ve received requests to improve LED light timing. While it's not a top priority right now, we understand its importance and plan to release updates in the coming months.
Official EU Launch: August
We've had to postpone the official EU launch by a few weeks due to a slight delay in shipping the first container of Shrooly devices to our warehouse. Consequently, we’ve rescheduled the production of our Pods to ensure they don’t expire before the devices arrive.
This means you can expect to receive your pre-ordered Pods in August. We want to emphasize that the Pods you received in the Early Access Program do not count against your pre-ordered Pods. If you need to order new consumable parts or replacements, please bear with us until August, as we have limited to no stock right now.
